Monty Love is a London DJ and producer working the line between Caribbean heritage and UK club music — the sound of a record collection raised on 80s, 90s and 2000s R&B, now pointed squarely at the floor.
That grounding never left. Where his sets have moved into dance and global rhythms, the soul phrasing, the swing and the vocal instinct came with them, the reason a Monty Love set can turn on a dime from a warm-up groove to full-tilt without ever losing the room.
Since November 2025 he has held a fortnightly residency at Vibean, the Vietnamese coffee house in Manchester — first and third Saturday, open format, a daytime groove built up into the evening — where that range gets tested every fortnight rather than claimed.
The same influences run through his own productions, where Caribbean rhythm, UK weight and R&B melody are treated as one continuous lineage rather than separate genres. It is a London story told through a Caribbean ear: familiar enough to sing along to, forward enough to keep dancing to.
